As Executive Vice President at Urban Trust Bank, Kathy Boden Holland aligns the vision and resources of Urban Trust Bank with that of its shareholders and is responsible for enterprise level bank strategic initiatives and relationships. She also has business line responsibility for the bank’s debit, prepaid and credit card products.

Kathy believes that Urban Trust Bank is uniquely positioned to build a successful bank while serving a broad customer base.  She and the rest of the UTB team work to establish and manage the products and services that will assist the underbanked in joining the U.S. “financial mainstream” and enhancing their families lives through value and convenience.

Kathy is an experienced corporate executive and entrepreneur with a diverse background that includes leadership positions in the investment banking, venture capital, private equity and consulting fields.

Kathy was a founding partner at Katalyst, LLC, a successful private equity firm. Kathy managed operations in four cities and led the firm to generate $24 million in positive cash flow over a two year period. Kathy provided senior management and board level advice to Katalyst portfolio companies and filled a number of acting senior level financial and operational positions within client companies.  She also lead the Katalyst investment banking business line that raised over $500 million in equity capital over a two year period.

During her distinguished career, Kathy also held significant roles at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Deloitte Consulting, Anderson Consulting and founded Bluehouse Capital LLC, a consulting firm providing private companies with assistance with operations and capital strategy development and execution.

Kathy received her undergraduate degree at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated cum laude and was a four year letter winner for the basketball team. She received her MBA from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, where she was a Dean’s Scholar.

Kathy lives outside of Washington, DC with her husband and two young children.
